RiskClima by E-ON Integration at the FERMA Forum 2024

We are presenting RiskClima at the Insurtech Area of FERMA Forum, Europe's largest risk management conference, at the IFEMA exhibition Centre in Madrid on 21-22 October.

FERMA FORUM RISK CLIMA PARTICIPATION

97% of scientists worldwide believe that Climate Change, as a man-made impact on the Earth's climate, is here. One in two people on the planet is already affected. The only question today is when a catastrophe will occur and how big it will be. Will it affect you?

In our previous newsletters we have dealt extensively with this issue because we believe that the impacts of Climate Change and the frequency of extreme climate events will be one of the biggest risks that organisations and businesses will face in the future.

We saw in one of our previous articles the annual Global Risk Report 2024* from the OECD's World Economic Forum. In the relevant Table of Trends we found that most risks will occur in the Environment category (including Climate Change which is included in the broader Environment category) such as extreme weather events, critical changes in Earth systems, biodiversity loss and ecosystem collapse and finally raw material shortages.

As climate-related risks are becoming more frequent and severe, having the right tools to predict their impacts is vital for companies and organisations worldwide.

Our objective with the RiskClima platform is to help businesses thoroughly address climate challenges and their impact. Our aim is to offer practical solutions.

RiskClima is a powerful tool designed specifically to predict climate-related business risks, propose mitigation strategies, estimate the associated costs and help build business resilience for a sustainable future.

RiskClima combines industry best practices in risk management and climate change adaptation, providing a comprehensive approach to address future challenges as it can predict risks over extended time horizons, such as 2050, exceeding the capabilities of most traditional business planning tools.

As part of this major event, Dr. Evangelia Louropoulou, Head of Climate Change and Sustainability Services will give a presentation on "RiskClima: Use of data - AI to better understand and quantify climate risks" and Ms. Teresa Papasarantopoulou, Head of Business Development and Products Consulting will give a presentation on "The power of technology in Climate Risk Management".

In case you are interested in these presentations we can arrange an online session for you and your company officers in November.
